Content
The SCiDA Database is an up-to-date collection of official documents such as decisions, press releases and other policy documents related to the European Digital Markets Act (DMA), Sec. 19a of the German Competition Act (GWB) and the UK Digital Markets Competition and Consumer Act (DMCCA). It includes more than 400 entries dating from 2020 to today and is frequently updated with newly released documents.
The SCiDA database is an excellent starting point for research on the regulation of digital markets in the UK, Germany, and the EU. Rather than searching through a multitude of websites from the three jurisdictions, the database is a gateway (not a gatekeeper) to relevant documents from 10+ institutions. For each entry, both the official title and a short descriptive title written by our team are included. The database also lists the legislation (DMA, GWB, DMCCA), the publishing institution, the release date and the language of every document. This makes it easy to gather the relevant information on a document without having to look through the original document. Most importantly there is a link to the full text of every document at the original source.
See below for some insights into the content of the database:

Functionality
The database is searchable by selecting different filters, such as the language, the jurisdiction or the category of the document. Information on a particular topic such as “interoperability” can be found by selecting a keyword in the filter or typing something into the search bar. Documents related to specific cases can be found by entering the case number into the search bar. The results can be sorted by newest, oldest or alphabetically by title. If no filters are selected the whole content of the database are displayed, making it easy to browse when you don’t know what you’re looking for yet.
For the best experience with the SCiDA Database we recommend using a desktop browser in full screen mode.
If you would like to tell us about your experience using the SCiDA Database or you’ve found a relevant document that is not yet listed, feel free to reach out to us at team@scidaproject.com.

Happy researching!
